Day 1: Arrival at Istanbul Ataturk International Airport
Meet your guide and enjoy a private transfer to your hotel, located in the charming Old City district of Sultanahmet. Traveling along the old city fortifcation walls, you’ll learn a bit about this exciting city all along the way. The remainder of the day is at leisure; why not stretch your legs with a walk around the neighborhood, then with dinner on your own at a rooftop restaurant. We can suggest several with great views over the Sea of Marmara! 

Day 2: Istanbul
Enjoy two full days of private sightseeing in Istanbul with your knowledgeable guide. Today we explore the Sultanahmet area and visit the Roman-era HippodromeBlue MosqueHagia Sophia Museum, the underground Basilica Cistern, and the Grand Bazaar. (B) 

Day 3: Istanbul
Your private sightseeing tour continues today with visits to the sprawling Topkapi Palace and its Harem Quarters, the Spice Market, a boat ride on the Bosphorus Strait, and a walking tour through Istanbul's backstreets. (B)

Day 4: Istanbul / Bodrum
Today, after breakfast, we will provide a comfortable transfer to the airport for your one-hour flight to Bodrum.  Upon arrival, we will transfer you to the lively city center for a tour of the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus - one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Later, we’ll head to the unique Museum of Underwater Archaeology, set inside the Castle of St. Peter, Bodrum’s most famous landmark.  At the end of today’s tour, we will drive you to your hotel.  (B) 

Day 5: Bodrum - Free day at leisure
Today is yours to discover the town of Bodrum at your own pace. Why not explore the harbor, do some souvenir shopping in the city center or wander through some of the picturesque cobblestoned backstreets? If you need some suggestions, we’re happy to offer ideas. (B)
Optional: private cooking lessons or a private or group-based gulet (yacht) tour from Bodrum that may include Aquarium Cove, Kara Ada (Black Island), or Orak Island.

Day 6: Bodrum / Ephesus / Sirince old Greek village
We depart Bodrum today and arrive in the Ephesus area early in the afternoon. We will stop to visit the Basilica of St. John before continuing onto Sirince, where your charming hotel is located. This pretty hillside village is a perfect blend of Turkish-Greek culture and has impressive views of local vineyards (that produce the area’s fruit wine), as well as the peach and olive orchards. You’ll have a chance to socialize with the locals throughout your stay. (B, L) 

Day 7: Sirince / Ephesus
In the morning, we will enjoy an extended visit to the well-preserved ruins of Ephesus. We also visit the recently-opened Terrace Houses, the homes of Ephesus’ elite and are comparable only with the ruins at Pompeii. After this visit, we drive to the local village of Sultankoy, where we learn about local rug-making proceses which include silk extraction, dyeing and weaving. Then, we will break for a fresh and organic al fresco lunch using ingredients from Sultankoy’s farm and orchards.  Our final stop of the day will be the town of Selcuk where you can visit the Museum of Archaeology. We’ll then drive back to Sirince. (B, L) 

Day 8: Kusadasi / Istanbul - Homebound departure
Transfer to Izmir’s Adnan Menderes Airport for a flight to Istanbul, where you will connect to your flight home. We look forward to welcoming you back to Turkey again soon. (B)
